Learn about the technique of relief printmaking and create your own prints using found objects alongside visual artist and printmaker Mars Bugaoan. A workshop kit will be provided. This workshop is for participants based in Metro Manila due to shipping constraints.
Mars Bugaoan (b. 1988) graduated cum laude with a degree in Advertising Arts at the University of Santo Tomas College of Fine Arts and Design in 2009. His range of works includes prints, drawings, mixed media, videos, sculptures to installations. Active in the local art scene, he has been featured in a two-man exhibition at the Cultural Center of the Philippines as well as six solo exhibitions at Kapitana, Artinformal, Vinyl on Vinyl, and Pinto Art Museum. Aside from numerous local group shows, he has also been invited to join exhibitions internationally. He was shortlisted for the Ateneo Art Awards 2018 Fernando Zóbel Prizes in Visual Art and was voted People’s Choice for his exhibition “Becoming” at Artinformal. He is also a member of the Association of Pinoyprintmakers.
