About Gajah Gallery
Since 1996, Gajah Gallery has been a pioneering body in the Southeast Asian arts scene, representing a portfolio of the region’s leading artists as well as engaging the brightest emerging talents in contemporary art today.
The main Gallery is housed in a beautifully-designed industrial warehouse space in Tanjong Pagar, Singapore, and also runs an experimental art space and fine art foundry in the vibrant arts city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Both exhibition spaces are fuelled with a unique atmosphere that invites a dynamic interplay of contemporary aesthetics, creative innovation and critical discourse.
In recent years, Gajah Gallery has been dedicated to highlighting the international relevance of artists from the region, building a legacy of landmark initiatives and collaborations that contribute to the scholarship of Southeast Asian art and history.
