About Primo Marella Gallery
Founded in 1991, Primo Marella Gallery Milano has witnessed a big expansion over the years. In 2004 the gallery opened a space in Beijing, followed in 2007 by the opening of a new venue in Milan. 2011 was time to settle another space in Lugano, Switzerland.
Alongside a constant interest for some of the greatest Masters of Contemporary Italian Art, Primo Marella Gallery has been committed from the very beginning to the promotion of emerging artists and movements coming from different territories, both through the organization of shows and the publication of catalogues, with the collaboration of curators and critics.
Starting with China in the late Nineties, the focus of the gallery’s programs touched different areas, such as South East Asia and, from 2008 onwards, Africa, always with the precise goal to pioneer in the presentation of such complex and constantly evolving artistic scenes.
